| Hi, Has anyone been able to setup HP PSC 1210 (the multi-functional all-in-one printer) scanner part successfully? According to the "supported devices list" http://hpoj.sourceforge.net/suplist.shtml, scanning for the HP PSC 1100, 1200 Series is working fine in the 0.91 release. But I can only get the printer part working, not the scanner part: - - - - >8 - - - - % scanimage --list-devices No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on. % scanimage --test scanimage: no SANE devices found # Try specifying the device name on the command line # the SANE device name format consists of "hpoj:" (the SANE backend name) # followed by the PTAL device name (e.g., "hpoj:mlc:usb:PSC_900_Series") % scanimage -d hpoj:mlc:usb scanimage: open of device hpoj:mlc:usb - - - - >8 - - - - To illustrate that my printer part is working fine: % ptal-print mlc:usb ptal-print: connecting to device "mlc:usb Is there anything else that I can check? I've read the troubleshooting and faq over and over many times, everything seems to be fine, except, erh, how to "power-cycling" the device? This is the first thing I should do, but I don't know what "power-cycling" means. Is it power off and on?
