| Hello. I seem to have broken something while upgrading old Kernel 2.6.10 build to an updated Kernel 2.6.10 build yesterday. I didn't pay attention to what builds they were. I do remember seeing updated Kernel packages from apt-get upgrade and downloaded almost 40 MB of stuff. After the upgrade and reboot, uname -a shows: Linux ANTian 2.6.10-1-k7 #1 Fri Mar 11 03:13:32 EST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux Now, I needed to recompile VMware v4.5.2 and NVIDIA's latest driver v1.0 b7167. Both of them cannot find my Kernel sources. They used to in the past! I even tried reinstalling kernel-source-2.6.10, kernel-tree-2.6.10, and kernel-patch-debian-2.6.10 but that didn't fix the problem. Here is what I have installed related to Kernel: # dpkg -l | grep ^ii |grep kernel ii autofs 4.1.3+4.1.4bet kernel-based automounter for Linux ii iptables 1.2.11-10 Linux kernel 2.4+ iptables administration to ii kcmlinuz 3.3.2-1 KDE Frontend for the Linux kernel configurat ii kernel-headers 2.6.10-6 Header files related to Linux kernel version ii kernel-headers 2.6.10-6 Linux kernel headers 2.6.10 on AMD K7 ii kernel-image-2 2.6.10-6 Linux kernel image for version 2.6.10 on AMD ii kernel-kbuild- 2.6.8-2 Linux kernel 2.6 kbuild tools ii kernel-patch-d 2.6.10-6 Debian patches to Linux 2.6.10 ii kernel-source- 2.6.10-6 Linux kernel source for version 2.6.10 with ii kernel-tree-2. 2.6.10-6 Linux kernel source tree for building Debian ii linux-kernel-h 2.5.999-test7- Linux Kernel Headers for development ii module-init-to 3.2-pre1-2 tools for managing Linux kernel modules Am I missing something or do something wrong?
