I am trying to reinstall Debian due to my dumb user error (fsck on a
mounted HDD and corrupting hda1/boot partition --

my boot partition (badly lost), I decided to reinstall Debian and
remount all the uncorrupted partitions. I am having problems installing
and setting up my GUI stuff:
