| A new beta of Underground Desktop (011) (www.ludos.org) is available to download: Underground Desktop is a GNU/Linux distribution targeted to the desktop user, featuring a graphic installation (using Anaconda for Debian by Progeny), and is based on Debian 'unstable'. In this beta, we see KDE 3.4 beta 1 as desktop environment. New features include KDE 3.4 beta 2, released a few days ago, various bug fixes, cdrom and floppy automounting, detection of other partitions on disk, a linux kernel 2.6.10 patched to improve desktop performance and responsiveness (this is an experimental feature which may disappear from future releases of Underground if it proves to introduce instability). www.ludos.org ivan.roquentin@gmail.com |
