| In this Debian system running 2.4.22, if I insert another PCI card on the bus then the USB quits working. I've attached kern.log from before and after the insert. The card in this case is another ATAPI controller. However, I've had the same problem if I've inserted a sound card (normally I use USB sound). I've tried most everything I can think of including different cards, BIOS settings, - even a new power supply. If anyone has ideas, let me know. -Mike mwgrenier@yahoo.com --- before --- Note the detection of the USB serial/lp/sound Nov 7 22:56:29 pcdvd kernel: klogd 1.4.1#13, log source = /proc/kmsg started.
