Default usb scanner

I've installed a BenQ 4300U scanner onto my Slackware 11.0 box

Running as root 'scanimage -L' returns the below

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

Running as root 'sane-find-scanner' returns the below

found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a5 [Color], product=0x20b0 [ FlatbedScanner
22]) at libusb:4:2

Can someone point out what needs to be done between 'sane-find-scanner'
and 'scanimage -L' for my front end to be operational.

Thanks,

My configuration details are below
----------------------------------

uname -a
Linux kitchen 2.6.18.1 #1 Tue Feb 27 10:56:22 EST 2007 i686 pentium4 i386
GNU/Linux

lsmod | grep usb
usbcore 107268 3 ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd

../scanimage --version
scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.18; backend version 1.0.18

/usr/local/etc/sane.d/dll.conf has this entry
snapscan

/usr/local/etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf has these entries
firmware /usr/local/share/sane/snapscan/CMT4300.bin
/dev/usbdev4.2 bus=usb

Default Re: usb scanner

Problem sorted. I used the wrong firmware file. For the BenQ 4300
the file should be u176v046.bin and not CMT4300.bin

Cheers,
