| Got some storage for backup purposes; usb2 widget. Trying it on Mandrake 10 on a mini-itx system, it just logs three attempts like (eg) so: device not accepting address 6, error -71 each time it's plugged in, then gives up. The hardware definitely works; rebooting into XP, the device is recognized no problem. Looking on the web and usenet, similar problems seemed to be have been resolved by pci=noacpi on reboot; trying that, no joy. Other USB devices (flash storage, camera, etc) work normally. Any thoughts? Other possibilities? Wayne Throop throopw@sheol.org http://sheol.org/throopw |
