Default Why no threads?

WOW. The first Linux/UNIX forum I've been on that had no Linux threads. Is Linux really that scarce in the arsenal of the modern-day *NIX administrator? I use Linux for a public HTTP/FTP server, which also doubles as an all purpose server providing Samba/NFS, SMTP, DNS, Firewall, back-up, routing, and Wireless AP duties. Who knew Celeron/PIII systems could do so much?-lol.

Who else here uses Linux? Any fellow Debian/Deb-based users here?

Anyone willing to try and persuade me to *BSD or Solaris over Linux?

This is my first post here, BTW.
