Default It wont boot up!

HI, i am installing rh 8 onto a few PC's, and all seem to have the
same problem; they will not boot up.

It comes up after restarting with "GRUB" and then nothing. Just
wondering what i should do.

I am trying to get a RH8 Lan, and have one as the sever, and several
clients. All have the same problem.

Any help would be cool!

Karl

how about some more info... like

what the H/w configuration ?

Looks like the GRUB installtion did not go through properly or the MBR is
not updated to where it should be....

Any information would be cool! I didn't think "a few" was still building
PCs.

Hi !
I had the same issue with Red Hat 9 install discs. When I used install CD
from SGI the install proccess went trough installation with no problem but
on reboot eve GRUB did not show up. When I used Red Hat 9 original install
discs everything was just fine.

About hardware nothing special. Intel motherboard 845PERL, P4, 265 MB RAM,
40GB HDD and ATI RADEON VGA card.

Okay, great. The above sentence says that if you use RH 9 install disks,
"the same issue" comes up, presumably meaning no boot. But your sentence
goes on to say if you use RH 9 install disks, everything works out fine.

Thanks for writing us. I hope you heve a really nice day in la-la land.

I know you think you are making sense, but what you don't know is that I
think you are not.

SPELL OUT your meaning. Leave NOTHING to the imagination. EXPLAIN which
installation disks are causing the problem, WHERE they came from, and HOW
they were created.

Pretend this is a situation in which CLEAR COMMUNICATION is REQUIRED. Why?
Because IT IS.
