| X used to crash on my intel D865GBFL, RH9. I upgraded the BIOS so far. The following pre-crash indicator still appears in XFree86.log: (normal user ONLY!): GetModeLine - scrn: 0 clock: 0 GetModeLine - hdsp: 800 hbeg: 0 hend: 0 httl: 0 vdsp: 600 vbeg: 0 vend: 0 vttl: 0 flags: 0 For root ONLY, I get this line: AUDIT: Fri May 14 12:03:28 2004: 4976 X: client 4 rejected from local host Question: --------- 1. What does GetModeLine ... mean? 2. Why the difference between root and normal users? Thanks. |
