Default XVideo prob, Intel 845G, and "Pipe A in double-wide mode error"

Hi all,

Trying to get XVideo working on this here machine - it's running Slackware
10.1 and X Window system 6.8.1 on an ASUS board with Intel 845G video.

XVideo's getting disabled as follows in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:

"(WW) I810(0): Disabling XVideo output because Pipe A is in double-wide
mode"

.... googling for that on either the web or usenet turns up nothing useful
(except for the line in the source where the error is printed

Preceding few lines in Xorg.0.log:

(II) I810(0): Display plane A is enabled and connected to Pipe A.
(II) I810(0): Enabling plane A.
(II) I810(0): Display plane A is now enabled and connected to Pipe A.

I'm not sure what BIOS function 0x5f61 is, so maybe that's something
critical? Presumably the lack of APM BIOS support is harmless. I can't
seem to get DRI working on this board either at the moment, but I take it
the two are unrelated (i.e. lack of DRI working has nothing to do with
XVideo failing)

Any ideas appreciated.

cheers

Jules
