| Hi everyone: I cannot access Yahoo or google mail on a new computer with Red hat 7.3 installed yesterday. Yahoo and google home pages are displayed but I am getting PS error in Yahoo mail and 'protocol died' in gmail. Tried Konqueror and Mozilla. Is there a solution to this? Yeah, yeah, I know, why Rh 7.3? I need to upgrade an application that was written in gcc 2.95 and running on a RH 7.3 machine. I though of fixing the code and then upgrading to Fedora & gcc 4 later but..... Thanks, CCDSJ |

There are a bunch of compat* packages coming with RHEL, CentOS and Fedora core to allow such aged apps running, though you need to install them. They should be on the install medium and can be installed through yum/rhn.
