| Hello, I experience a strange problem with my Debian Linux box. After some upgrade (I don't remember exactly since I may not have noticed the problem immediately) my screen resolution gets reset to the font size used for 80x25 each time I start X. The problem is, I use 80x50 chars on the console, so that after an X session the console gets unusable. I am not using the framebuffer thing on the console. I tried copying my X configuration from another box that does not have this problem, no success. I also tried manually setting a font using the console-tools packages, almost the same effect: The font stays the same, but the space between the lines doubles. I use an NVidia graphics adapter with the NVidia drivers (problem has remained through several driver upgrades). My XFree86 version is 4.3.0. Any idea? Cheers, Martin -- Pilot: Call me a fuel truck.
