Reducing noise is often a problem of minimising vibrations,
or stopping vibrations to propagate into the furniture that
you assumably have, unless the thing is rack mounted - but
then it would be in a datacenter anyway....

I equipped my Sunblade 100 with the same type of glue-on
filt-feet that you use under chairs to stop them from scratching
a beautiful tiled wood floor.

I am now getting some Quiet Fans for it.

The last thing I intend to do is to put in some rubber
washers on the screws that secures the diskdrives.
