| Rich, I am trying to use the on-board video. Upon opening the case I noticed that there is no cards in slots J0406. If this where the VSIMMs would be installed? Do they need to be installed in pairs or can I install a single VSIMM? I am also assume that I can use a 8mb VSIMM Card P/N 501-2482 correct? The card would plug into one of the available VSIMM slots and extend and plug into the memory slots. Sorry for posting the image. I thought that it would help in diagnosing the system. I am starting to learn Solaris and I am faily new. There are two wider slots at the back end. You can have either 1 8MB VSIMM or up to 2 4MB VSIMMs. You can find more help at http://sunhelp.org or look at the field engineer's handbook at http://sunsolve.sun.com > Do they need to be installed in pairs or can I install a single VSIMM? That sounds correct but look it up. > The card would plug into one of the available VSIMM slots and extend and > plug into the memory slots. Yes. -am © 2003 |
