Check that the OBP "input-device" is set to "keyboard" and the "output-device" is set to "screen". These are the defaults (and the system will drop to serial console if it can't find a keyboard attached), but they may have been changed to "ttya" which will disable the keyboard/ screen as the console (although you should still be able to see it once the machine is booted) Scott. |

Have you looked at the OpenBoot parameters? If output-device and input-device is set to "ttya" then the framebuffer will be ignored.
