Performance wise the SPARC64 seems to be around 10-15% faster on a clock for clock basis than the US-III and the binary compatibility seems to be perfect. At the bottom end of the range the FSC boxes are actually just rebadged Suns - as a rule anything with a US-IIi in it is a rebadged Sun with the SPARC64 only appearing in their own boxes. P. |
