| Ive just pulled an unused 250 out of our machine room, and Im trying to set it up for use as a dev server. Im not very knowledgable about Suns, and I cant get it to boot. The machine powers up. It beeps. The power led lights constantly. The fault leds light momentarily just after the key is turned. All of the fans power up, and the drives power up. I get no output, either from the video card, ttyA, or the RSC serial port. Im not sure that any of my serial cables are correct however. I have a keyboard connected, none of its leds light up, and pressing keys with leds does not activate them. Ive disconnected the RSC card, and still get no output from the video or ttyA. What I have read indicates that the system should go through POST before outputing any information, and that during post the wrench led should blink. Can anyone provide any direction for diagnoses and repair? |
