Default No more SCSI on E5500

I have an E5500 which has a problem I've never seen before. All of the
sudden, no SCSI devices are seen by the system! This is happening on 7
different controllers, which are spread out across 4 I/O boards. The
probe-scsi-all OBP command doesn't see anything and either does the OS.
The controllers themselves are seen but no devices attached to them are.
This happened shortly after adding a couple of I/O boards using DR while
the system was up.

Fortunately this system primarily uses JNI FC cards for storage
connectivity, or the whole system would be down.

Anyone else seen such a thing happen? I remember blowing a few fuses back
in the old days where they were on the SBus cards and having to replace
them, but I've never seen anything knock all channels out.

BTW, in case you're wondering, when the SCSI chains are plugged into
another Ultra, they are seen fine.

Any ideas appreciated!

Brian

What happens if you DR the new IO boards out, and bring them back
one-by-one? If OBP does not see down the channels, then Solaris has no
chance.

I assume you've not missed something obvious like running "disks" after
you've moved things around?

Steven, its not me; its the OP. But as I said in my reply to the OP, if
OBP can't see anything down the SCSI channel, then Solaris has
completely bugger all chance of doing so. Disks/devfsadm/cfgadm are all
superfluous in this case.
