Unfortunately I don't have access to the private area of SunSolve anymore so I can't get more up to date OBP patches, but for most of the early Ultrasparc machines what's on my bootROM page is going to be the newest OBP update (or close to it). It appears to be. It uncompressed and untarred OK. I haven't installed it yet (my Ultra 2 is in a rack and getting it out to change the flash PROM jumper is going to be a PITA). >Unfortunately I don't have >access to the private area of SunSolve anymore so I can't get more up to >date OBP patches, but for most of the early Ultrasparc machines what's on my >bootROM page is going to be the newest OBP update (or close to it). Yeah, right. Legal, maybe. Crap, definitely. I think I shall do what I usually do - get one of the Sun sysadmins at work work to get a copy. http://www.sunsolve.com is not what you might think, either... -- "The road to Paradise is through Intercourse." Yeah, right. Legal, maybe. Crap, definitely. It gets worse. The link to the actual patch doesn't work, either. I'm deeply impressed. Not. -- "The road to Paradise is through Intercourse." Found it at last, by the usual technique of using Google to search Sunsolve rather than Sun's deeply pathetic search engine. Document Audience: PUBLIC Document ID: 104169-08 Title: Hardware/PROM: Ultra 2 Standalone Flash PROM Update Update Date: Wed Nov 07 09:27:05 MST 2001 It appears to be the same patch I found quickly and easily on Scott's page. -- "The road to Paradise is through Intercourse."
