Default FC-AL Disk Problems in SB1K

Recently got a pair of ST336704FC disks for a SunBlade 1000 and I'm
having some issues.

Basically I cannot slice them. I don't have the console output but
basically they complain about needing to be formatted in 512kb block
size and format goes off and does that.

Then I slice up the disk and label and label tells me theres an error
writing the VTOC and that's as far as I can get. I quit format and try
again and I'm faced with being unable to label again.

I tried the format, analyse, refresh dodge I read about in google but
it doesn't work for me.

I've just remebered about the 'format -e' command so I'll try that
after this latest attempt to label finishes...

It was the 'format -e' thing! Just need to label as SMI and Roberts yer
Dads Brother.

Seems that a *BSD had been on the disks previously probably.
